We Are Always Looking for New Talent

We are currently looking for a Billing Specialist to join our team. The Billing Specialist is to undertake a variety of financial and non-financial tasks in order to help guarantee the company’s revenues. This position will handle the entire lifecycle of work orders from the processing of work orders to the billing and necessary paperwork, through collections. The position will compile account statements, perform computing balances, and record billing.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Upload work orders from plumbers
  • Review work orders for errors (spelling, grammar, missing material/equipment)
  • Prepare, compile bills for services paid for by clients
  • Enter invoices and proposals into customer portals, as necessary
  • Acquire incomplete purchase order’s (PO’s) from subcontractors/suppliers to be applied to billing
  • Enter data from work orders into the system
  • Prepare billing and adjust charges accordingly
  • Prepare customer specific reports, as necessary
  • Submit requested information to customer and vetting portals
  • Send daily list of Service work orders that can be invoiced to the General Accounting Clerk
  • Track and follow up on outstanding work orders that need to be invoiced
  • Submit approved invoices to customers
  • Process credit card payments for customers
  • Forward customer concerns to management
  • Provide information to the customer service and accounting department as requested
  • Maintain and update customer billing information
  • Maintain digital and printed files of invoices and billing instructions
  • Collections (Send emails/letters, make phone calls)
  • Help with ad-hoc projects when assigned

Qualifications, Education and Experience

Qualifications include:
  • 2+ years of experience working as a billing specialist/collections
  • Clerical accounting experience
  • Proven ability to manage accounting figures, calculate, post and financial records
  • Data entry skills along as well as a knack for numbers
  • Hands-on experience in operating accounting and spreadsheets software
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Excellent skills in both verbal and written communication
  • Attention to detail along with high degree of accuracy
  • Familiarly with finance and accounting operations
  • Ability to articulate and convey information effectively in both group and individual situations.
  • Ability to work both independently and be self-motivated


  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
